Bed bugs can travel just anywhere, it’s easy to get them inside the grocery bag or for that matter even in the clothes one is wearing. 4) Steam cleaning of the mattress and carpets can be done as this will help to kill the bed bugs.
5) Try to keep your bed away from the wall so that the bed bugs cannot travel down to your bed from the walls.
6) Use light colored sheets so that you can easily detect these reddish brown creatures.
7) Do not use any pesticide yourself; try to hire a professional to do this task.
8) IPM approach can be ideal to control bed bugs as IPM would take on different methods then just a single pesticide application method.
